Our 30th anniversary party: thank you all for your solidarity!

30 years of history and impact
Founded by Éric de Lamotte, En Avant Les Enfants has always defended essential values: dignity, solidarity, autonomy and family. Today, 6,500 beneficiaries are benefiting from our programmes in Goma. In the face of security and humanitarian crises, these populations are showing remarkable resilience.
As Alain Englebert, president of En Avant Les Enfants, emphasised: ‘Thanks to your support, our beneficiaries are resilient, united and, in their extreme poverty, generous in welcoming refugees and displaced persons.’
In 30 years, we have enabled thousands of children to access education and families to regain their independence. Our six local sustainable development projects cover essential areas such as education, training, agroecology and entrepreneurship. ‘EALE has supported the education of thousands of children, restored the dignity of mothers, built 673 houses and given hope to entire communities.’
A well-deserved acknowledgement
During the evening, Alain Englebert expressed his gratitude to our donors, volunteers and sponsors. A huge thank you was extended to our loyal sponsors, Magetra and TMB Bank, as well as to the gold sponsors: AlcoGroup, Camber, Degroof Petercam, Diamond Europe and Libeco. Thanks to them, our association operates with an administrative cost ratio of less than 5%.
A future focussed on autonomy
We aim to make our projects in Goma self-sufficient in the next few years. ‘We are doing everything we can to ensure that our actions become fully responsible and sustainable.’
Our 30th anniversary marks a new direction and a new impetus. Thank you to everyone who has made this adventure possible. Let’s continue to move forward together for the children of Goma.
